A message for the New Year

I had a busy end to 2011 and an amazing start to the new year.  On New Year’s Day, there were 44 people who welcomed in the new year with the free meditation I offered at the Center.  On Friday night, I looked at my registration list and got the message that I needed to add another meditation on Sunday because I wouldn’t have physical space for everyone.  I immediately went to Facebook and my web site and posted an earlier program.  I ended up having 17 people in the earlier program and 27 in the original.  Over half of the attendees were new to the Center.  In this age of technology, what a blessing it is to get the word out quickly.  If that day was any indication of what 2012 will be bringing for The Healing in Harmony Center, I can’t wait!

As with many programs I offer, my guides had a message for each group.  They wanted to tell the earlier class to live in the I AM.  As this is the time of year for resolutions, half of which most of us don’t fulfill, they wanted to make sure that everyone recognize the proper word choice to use.  Instead of “This year I WILL…”, they wanted us to know that we ALREADY ARE and to state the resolution in the present.  The word WILL implies that sometime in the future this will happen.  As you go through each day, know that you are exactly where you need to be.  How about saying “I am at my ideal weight”, “I am financially abundant”, “I am on my path to living abundantly”.   As you make your statement in the present, you attract a like thought and a higher vibration.  As you raise your vibration, matching vibrations are attracted to you and you recognize all the opportunities before you.

The second group received the message of embracing change.  There is so much change happening now and much more coming this year.  If we fight the change, we will be reliving all of our old hurts and challenges.  If we embrace the change, we can go through it and get to the other side of it much quicker.  Our human brain tells us that change is bad.  From personal experience, I can tell you that change is good.  If I hadn’t embraced all the changes, I wouldn’t be doing all that I am today.  I would have held myself back because it was more comfortable.  When a cycle in our life ends, we go through a stage called disintegration.  Most understand this to be a stage of falling apart.  I look at it another way.  It is a stage where we DIS-INTEGRATE from our previous self so that we can get ready for a new cycle.  The old ways of being no longer work if we are to step into a new beginning.

A final message was to not put so much emphasis on New Year’s Eve.  Each year, we celebrate the beginning of the new year with parties, television coverage and a big, expensive ball dropping from the sky.  How about looking at every evening as New Day Eve.  Celebrate that each morning you get to wake up to a new day filled with new opportunities, new challenges, and new ways of being.  Why should we have to wait a year for a celebration?  Everyday is a celebration of new growth. Embrace it.

Personally, I am looking forward to an exciting 2012. I’ve been away from the Center for four days now recharging my battery for this grand new adventure.  I look forward to getting back to work next week and to seeing all of the new faces coming into the Center.   The Healing in Harmony Night is on Wednesday, January 11 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  It’s a great way to explore the community of the Center and to receive a free healing.  Stop in anytime during the event.  We have three stations of healers working to handle the flow of participants.  Come and enjoy the healing energy of the space and start your new year with some powerful energy.

HAPPY NEW DAY EVE!
