My prayer for you this Christmas is that you find yourself. Not just the self that you show to the world but the real you. I want you to take a look at this past year, what’s working and what is not, and evaluate what parts of it you want to keep. The end of the year is a great ending to a cycle of your life. You get to decide which parts of you come into the next cycle.
Instead of making a standard New Year’s Resolution, choose to stay resolute in being your authentic you, even if you aren’t completely sure of who that is. Instead of focusing on what you don’t want, ask to be shown what you want for your life and the Universe will respond by showing you opportunities. We are constantly evolving and growing as humans and with that comes times when we feel unsure and perhaps unsteady in all of the changes. Take it one step at a time.
Make a decision to be the best you that you can be because the reality is, what else could you be? Even in what you may think is your worst hour, you are still doing the best that you can at that given moment. In another moment you can do better.
Becoming your authentic self requires you to allow. Allow what the Universe has available for you – easy or challenging as it may be. Allow yourself to be open to new opportunities instead of judging the change that will be coming. Allow others to help you and ask for help when you need it. It isn’t a sign of weakness to ask for assistance.
Embrace the good and the bad. You are a beautiful soul energy and you are also that shadow side of your soul. That shadow side is all that we do not desire to be, however if we ignore that side, we ignore our other half. Embrace the shadow for to ignore it is to resist what is. Sure, you don’t want to be jobless, homeless, or broke, but the possibility exists that you can be all of those things. If we fear it, we resist it. When we resist it, we deny our shadow side. Embrace the shadow and the fear goes away.
Take all the lessons that you know and APPLY them to your life. What good is it to know something and not use it? Decide what you believe from all that you have learned and take small steps to apply those lessons to your life. It is in the application of our knowledge that we grow.
And most importantly of all, enjoy every moment of every day. It’s easy to get caught up in the minutia of the day. How much of it really matters in the end?
The best part of what I do is that I get to watch people grow. It’s like planting a seed and then slowly and steadily, it starts to sprout and grow stronger. My job is to water it, fertilize it and nurture it until one day, it blossoms into an amazing flower. The greatest accomplishment I can ever experience as a teacher is when my students surpass me. It happens every day and I am a better teacher because of it.
All I want for Christmas is YOU!
